Volunteer

We need a huge team of more than 250 volunteers in a variety of roles to make the camp a success each year. Opportunities exist for both students (6th-12th grade) and adults to serve in many different ways behind the scenes, on the stage, on the sports field, and in small groups of kids. We welcome volunteers both from the State College Alliance Church congregation and from across the community too.

Volunteer update (5/30/25): The following volunteer teams are full:

  • Snack
  • Registration
  • Rally
  • DanceFit Coach
  • Safety/First Aid
  • Media/Photography

2025 Bible teaching & Theme

This year, we'll be dusting off the pup tents, cleaning the latrines, and gathering wood for the campfire to get ready for a week of old school summer camp fun at Alliance Sports Camp 2025!

Our Bible teaching this year focuses on Discovering How to Love Like Jesus. Each day in our halftime rally, we will be learning from New Testament stories of Jesus and the early church, exploring the amazing love Jesus shows to us and how we can love others the same way. The daily teaching will be:

  • Monday: Love one another.
  • Tuesday: Be kind to one another.
  • Wednesday: Forgive one another.
  • Thursday: Pray for one another.
  • Friday: Serve one another.

The Bible verse for the week will be Jesus' instructions from John 13:34, "I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you.”
