Alliance Sports Camp '26

July 27-31

As noted below, Alliance Sports Camp is rapidly filling up, with 6 of our 10 sports already on a waitlist. If your preferred sport at Alliance Sports Camp is full, check out the Calvary Adventure Camp running the same week in the evenings and using the same content. Visit www.calvarycwow.org/camp for more information and to register!

Mark your calendars now for July 27-31 to join us for Alliance Sports Camp 2026!  Kids entering grades K-5 will enjoy one of 10 different sports and activities while also learning how to build our life on the UNSHAKEABLE foundation of God's word. Volunteer

We need a huge team of more than 250 volunteers in a variety of roles to make the camp a success each year. Opportunities exist for both students (6th-12th grade) and adults to serve in many different ways behind the scenes, on the stage, on the sports field, and in small groups of kids. We welcome volunteers both from the State College Alliance Church congregation and from across the community too.

Read below for all the details of volunteering or to sign up to help with Alliance Sports Camp 2026. And if you would rather help in the evenings than the mornings, check out our partner camp at Calvary by visiting www.calvarycwow.org/adventure-camp-2026.

May 22 update: We have more than enough volunteers as Runners, Rally, Snack, and Registration. Additional signups for volunteers in these areas will be placed on a waitlist and notified if they are needed. We are still very much in need of:

  • Huddle Coaches (adults or students 9th grade and up)
  • Sports Coaches (especially soccer, Pickleball, Baseball)
  • Special Needs buddies (youth or adults)

Childcare is available for volunteers with kids too young to participate in the camp. Please indicate your need for childcare below.

This year we are collaborating with Calvary Church, who is hosting their "Adventure Camp" the same week as Alliance Sports Camp in the evenings. Both camps will be using the same teaching content and songs, but offer different choices of sports and activities so you can choose the camp that best fits your schedule and your kids interests.

At the end of the week we will gather everyone together on Friday evening for a celebration of a great week of camp at both churches!

*Please do not register your kids for both camps -- the teaching content will be identical and we want as many kids as possible to be able to participate.

Nyeri Sports Camp 2026

This year's Nyeri Sports Camp was held on April 13-17 to better fit with the local school schedule. We are thrilled that the camp this year was run 100% by local volunteers with no team from State College helping on site. The team in Kenya has big dreams not only for this year's camp but growing these camps across Kenya to reach even more kids with the good news!

While we aren't sending a team to Kenya this year, we are supporting them financially. We are aiming to raise $3,500 to support their camp, helping with the venue rental and paying for transportation and registration for 200 kids from the Children and Youth Empowerment Center and other underprivileged communities.

Please help us support this camp through an online donation using the link below or by check made out to State College Alliance Church with "Kenya Missions" written on the memo.

Unshakeable

There are so many things we can try to build our lives on, like success, popularity, or money, but we know these things won't last. At camp this year, we will be learning what it looks like to build our lives on some truly UNSHAKEABLE things from the Bible, like:

  • I will build my life on God's word
  • I will build my life on God's faithfulness
  • I will build my life  on knowing Jesus
  • I will build my life in community
  • I will build my life on God's love

We trust that these simple truths from the Bible will help kids build a solid foundation that can help them withstand the storms of life.

Key Verse: Everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.

 - Matthew 7:24
